Job Title: Senior API Developer – ApigeeLocation: Costa Mesa, CA (Local only because there is in – person interview)Duration: 12+ MonthsExperience Level: 10+ Years Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior API Developer with strong hands-on experience in Apigee and API development. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of microservices architecture, API security, and modern API management platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage API proxies using Apigee. Develop and maintain scalable microservices to support APIs. Implement API platform features such as security, throttling, caching, logging, custom analytics, monetization, and traffic management. Work with API security frameworks including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and other modern standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable API solutions. Optimize API performance and monitor using Apigee and other tools. Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Apigee or similar API Management platforms (e.g., Azure APIM). Proficient in API design, development, and management. Strong understanding of microservices architecture. Knowledge of API security protocols like OAuth2, JWT, etc. Experience with API gateway configurations (rate limiting, caching, request/response transformation). Strong debugging and performance tuning skills. Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools. Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
