Job Title: Senior Azure Data Engineer/ Architect with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ) Location: Remote 100% Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: As part of a cloud modernization strategy, the client is migrating and integrating enterprise data from existing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)-based applications into modern data platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer or Data Architect who can lead this transformation, ensuring seamless data connectivity, quality, and pipeline scalability across environments. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement data pipelines and ingestion frameworks to move structured and unstructured data from OCI into Azure and Microsoft Fabric platforms. • Build and manage cloud data lakes on Azure (ADLS Gen2, Microsoft Fabric OneLake) and support real-time/near-real-time data integration use cases. • Define and enforce data architecture standards, modeling practices, and transformation logic as part of the modernization roadmap. Required Skills: • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including data extraction, APIs, and network configuration. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure Data Services including: • Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2) • Azure Data Factory • Azure Synapse Analytics • Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Pipelines, Data Activator, etc.) • Experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache NiFi, ADF, Talend, or Python-based solutions. • In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and metadata/data lineage practices. • Experience with cross-cloud integration – moving or federating data between OCI and Azure/Fabric. • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and understanding of Spark-based processing (Databricks, Fabric Spark).
