About the Opportunity:
VALERE is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for our client. This role is fully remote with equipment provided and requires availability during standard business hours in the Central Time Zone.
Project:
This position will consolidate disparate identity data sources into a unified data lake. This includes redesigning a system from the ground up that extracts, transforms and loads (ETL) identity-related data into a centralized data lake. The source data includes SailPoint, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Cyberark and GCP.

What You'll Do:
β’ Analyze the data to determine what different transform models could look like and build the system from the ground up
β’ Design and implement ETL processes
β’ Build batch and near-real-time data pipelines
β’ Integrate data sources such as SailPoint, Azure Active Directory, CyberArk, and Google Cloud products
β’ Lead and architect the solution from the ground up
β’ Direct other engineers to guide best practices
What You Bring:
Data Engineering Skills:
β’ Data modeling experience
β’ 3+ years of experience with automated data pipelines (batch or streaming)
β’ 3+ years of experience building ETL process from the ground up
β’ 5+ years of hands-on SQL programming
β’ GCP or Azure experience (GCP highly preferred)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
IAM Expertise preferred: Background in strategic IAM architecture and design.
Time Zone Availability: Able to work 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time.
Agile Experience: Proficient with SAFe Agile and Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiar with the FICAM model and HHS Cybersecurity Performance Goals.
Documentation & Communication: Skilled in writing clear documentation, reports, and presentations.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and multitasking abilities.
Professionalism: Adherence to confidentiality agreements and security policies.
Pay Rate: Contract, $67.67 hourly.
