Teradata Data Consultant (Plano)

Our client, a leading organization in data management and analytics, is seeking a Teradata Data Consultant to join their team. As a Teradata Data Consultant, you will be part of the Data Platform Support team, supporting data analysis, platform automation, and data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Teradata Data Consultant (Plano) Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid) What's the Job? • Perform end-to-end data analysis on business strategies and operational functions within the Teradata platform. • Develop and implement automation solutions to facilitate data movement and platform efficiency. • Build and maintain data governance policies, ensuring compliance and data quality standards are met. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize database performance. • Design proof of concepts (POC) and recommend innovative solutions leveraging current industry best practices. What's Needed? • Proficiency with NOS, Python, SQL, RDBMS, and Teradata utilities such as TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPump. • Experience with data mining, data aggregation, and business planning analytics. • Familiarity with Object Storage, Hadoop, Cloudera, and cloud-native technologies. • Strong troubleshooting skills and a solution-oriented mindset. • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor team members.
