Role: Azure/MuleSoft RTF Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term Contract
Key Responsibilities for AKS Container Managers (RTF-specific)
1. Cluster & Infrastructure Management
β’ Provisioning and scaling AKS clusters.
β’ Managing AKS node pools, VM sizes, and scaling policies.
β’ Integrating AKS with Azure services (Networking, AAD, Key Vault, Monitoring).
1. RTF Deployment & Lifecycle
β’ Installing MuleSoft RTF using Helm or Anypoint-provided installers.
β’ Upgrading RTF versions in alignment with MuleSoft releases.
β’ Managing Runtime Fabric Agents, Services, and Pods.
1. Container & Application Orchestration
β’ Deploying Mule applications as containers onto the RTF namespace.
β’ Managing deployments, rollbacks, and scaling strategies.
β’ Configuring ingress controllers and service meshes (NGINX, Istio if required).
1. Security & Compliance
β’ RBAC and AAD integration for AKS.
β’ Secret management using Azure Key Vault + MuleSoft secure properties.
β’ Ensuring RTF pods meet compliance and security baselines (CIS, SOC2).
1. Observability & Performance
β’ Integrating AKS monitoring with Azure Monitor / Prometheus / Grafana.
β’ Setting up MuleSoft Anypoint Monitoring with AKS cluster metrics.
β’ Log aggregation via ELK/EFK stacks or Azure Log Analytics.
1. Networking & Connectivity
β’ Configuring VNETs, Subnets, and Private Endpoints.
β’ Hybrid connectivity with on-prem services via VPN/ExpressRoute.
β’ Secure APIs using MuleSoft API Gateway policies deployed in RTF.
