Strategic Data Scientist

What We Are Seeking: We are hiring an experienced and Strategic Data Scientist to develop a plan for and help a client optimize automated data interfaces and replications across two vital operational databases, streamline data flows from systems at over 5,000 sites and related partners, minimize the need for data clean up after replications and interfaces are complete, and create data analytics, visualizations, and other automations as needed. The position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with a goal of long-term employment with our team. Hard Skills Required: · Proficiency analyzing and optimizing data flows between structured and unstructured data systems, and creating data and system architecture · Proficiency with data integration to automate Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes · Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Suite including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and managing large collections in Azure · Demonstrated skills in Project Management (creating timelines, milestones, and monitoring progress), Time Management, Business Writing, and Professional Communications · Mastery of communicating complex data analytics solutions to non-technical users, delivering technical expertise in a client-facing capacities Soft Skills Required: · Knowledge of business procedures and processes, ideally in the healthcare industry · Ability to understand the business challenges then develop and test solutions · Communication skills to present to key stakeholders · Negotiation and persuasion skills to bring disparate service providers and software providers together to solve according to client priorities and to meet client needs · Positive attitude in both effort and enthusiasm · Willingness to learn · Flexibility to accept changing needs of key stakeholders Qualifications and Experience Requirements: · Experience in information technology and data analytics, and a bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Management Information Systems; demonstrated high-level coursework in these subjects; or equivalent experience · Experience in analyzing, cleaning, transforming, and automating data and processes, as well as analyzing and creating schema and data models · Experience or coursework in data architecture, data transformation, and data visualization · Measurable ability to present data-focused insights, visualizations, solutions, and ideas in working sessions · Experience designing, developing, and implementing digital processes to meet internal and external client objectives · Proven experience in delivering upon agreed timelines and plans Role Classification: Contract-To-Hire Role Type: Hybrid (mostly remote) Hours: Full-time Competitive Benefits Available Must be able to work for any US employer without H1B sponsorship or C2C arrangement.
