Role description
Job Title: Materials Data Analyst Department: CHN Supply Chain Location: Fully Remote (based in Indiana- EST) Role Overview: This position will import, maintain, support, and update data residing in the various Supply Chain Information Systems. This position is responsible for ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completing work and reacting to issues in a timely manner for the item master, vendor master, and any additional ancillary Supply Chain systems deemed appropriate. Position supports sourcing and procurement processes as it pertains to data set-up, accuracy, and alignment within the ERP system, contract management system, ancillary systems, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system. Required Experience: • Minimum of two (2) years of data management experience. • Two (2) years of working in an ERP system in a healthcare environment preferred. • Advanced skills in MS Excel preferred. Required Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Computer Science preferred. • Associate’s Degree in Business Management or Computer Science combined with a minimum of two (2) years working in a hospital environment considered. Required License: • None required. Prerequisite Skills: • Ability to maintain and manipulate large data sets. • Ability to analyze data sets to support sourcing, procurement, and value analysis functions. • Proficiency with MS Excel advanced functions required to manipulate data for ERP system importing, producing reports, and analysis. • Knowledge of relational databases and database maintenance. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple objectives and be a team leader. • Excellent communication skills, strong organization, time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. • Excellent customer service skills and some familiarity with medical and surgical supplies. • General knowledge of products across healthcare and of the sourcing procurement process. • Ability to work in a team environment consisting of customers, peers, vendors, and co-workers while under pressure and balancing competing demands. Additional related duties may be assigned at the MMIS Manager’s discretion. • Maintain accuracy and integrity of vendor and item records across ERP and ancillary systems, including regular updates and audits. • Perform data queries and troubleshoot accuracy issues to support procurement and cost-saving initiatives. • Coordinate charging data assignments with the CDM team for EPIC billing and resolve integration issues with Knowledge Management and Epic teams. • Provide support and training to end users regarding ERP item/vendor functions and related policies; respond to service tickets and requests via various channels. • Develop and execute queries and reports to support Supply Chain and Procurement teams. • Collaborate with Procurement to manage item data, compare pricing, and ensure proper data import into ERP. • Manage network locations, ship-to addresses, vendor activations, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) functionality; monitor procurement EDI compliance. • Oversee vendor credentialing system and ensure vendor compliance with network policies before ERP integration. • Load contracts and pricing into ERP or ancillary systems and coordinate with Procurement and A/P teams on vendor policy adherence. • Perform scheduled data maintenance and updates on an ongoing basis.
