Role and responsibilities: As Lead Kentico Developer, you will spearhead the design, development, and migration of Kentico-based web applications, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams. This role involves leading a small team of developers, ensuring seamless integrations with modern tech stacks, and driving project success in a remote or hybrid setting. The ideal candidate brings deep Kentico expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for software engineering excellence. • Lead end-to-end Kentico development projects, including architecture design, customization, and optimization of CMS solutions to meet client needs. • Oversee migrations from legacy Kentico versions (e.g., Kentico 13) to modern platforms like Kentico Xperience by Kentico (XbyK), ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. • Act as the primary point of contact (PoC) for stakeholders, gathering requirements, providing technical guidance, and managing vendor relationships. • Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and React Native for responsive, user-friendly applications. • Integrate cloud services from AWS and GCP to enhance scalability, security, and performance of Kentico solutions. • Mentor and lead a small team of developers/engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, agile methodologies, and continuous improvement. • Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure robust, error-free deliverables. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals, including process improvements and innovation initiatives. • Stay current with Kentico updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive project efficiency and client satisfaction. Job Requirements: • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Kentico CMS, including migrations, custom module development, and integrations; 10+ years total in software engineering. • Proven track record leading large-scale Kentico projects, such as a 2024 migration from Kentico 13 to XbyK as primary PoC. • 3+ years working with US-based companies, with strong English communication skills for client interactions. • High proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and React Native; exposure to AWS and GCP for cloud deployments. • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, supplemented by relevant software-specific education and certifications. • Articulate bi-lingual communicator (English & Spanish) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. • Familiarity with web security standards, performance optimization, and SEO best practices in Kentico environments • Certifications in Kentico (e.g., Kentico Certified Developer) or related technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Developer).
